Waisted Efforts

WE Blog

Thoughts, ideas, and lots of sharing. Make some tea, grab a cookie, and let's enjoy the hilarity that is my life as a traveling dressmaker.

The seamstress is getting married.

Update 3/10/2010!!   Sketches for my girls in the diary!!

Guess what?  I am getting married.  On October 20th of 2009, John Davis proposed to me on the tall ship Elissa on Galveston Island.  Fittingly, we are going to get married in Galveston at Dickens on the Strand this year on December 3rd, 2010.  I am so excited I can hardly stand it!

I am going to make my dress, as well as the dresses for my attendants, MaritaBeth Caruthers, Ginger Burkholder, and Delaenya Stapleton, and the vests for the boys.  I have my main fabric chosen and purchased, and we are in the swatching process now.  I will be starting a diary for this entire process that should be convoluted and amusing.

This should all be interesting to say the least.

P.S. I will be limiting the number of commissions I accept this year to complete all this work.  Let me know though if I can put you on 2011's list.  Get a new dress before the world ends!  *grin*
